Preventive maintenance plans
Our program covers manufacturer’s recommended service inspections of listed equipment. We provide the owner with detailed inspection reports and equipment log sheets for each individual piece of equipment. Before the cooling or heating seasons it is a good idea to have your system checked out by one of our maintenance experts. Small problems can become bigger problems as your system continues to run. Just as your automobile needs regular maintenance so does your air conditioning system. You should clean or replace your air filters each month.
What equipment requires preventive maintenance?
At least once a year heat pumps and air conditioners require a professional tune-up. Additionally, furnaces should be checked every year for cracks in the heat exchange to prevent carbon monoxide from getting into the home.
Inspections on boiler and furnace systems should include duct work, pipes, dampers, valves, the chimney, registers, radiators, pumps, blowers, fuel lines, the gas meter, oil tank and every part of the actual furnace and boiler. Meanwhile, heat pump and air conditioning unit inspections should also include inspections of the fan, compressor, indoor coils, outdoor coils and refrigerant lines.
